Service is my purpose
I originally joined the fire department in 2014 as a recruit in the City of Buckley Fire Department where I served as a firefighter/EMT and eventually as the Senior Instructor of the training academy. I chose to pursue firefighting as my career in 2023, and began again on the recruit-level, reaffirming my commitment to service, humility, and the pursuit of passions. My purpose is helping people discover how strong and capable they truly are - igniting a spark that will continue the legacy of service to others.
Designing and delivering trainings is one of my many passions. This is not simply teaching firefighting skills; it is about educating the whole person. I weave in elements of self-awareness, leadership, diversity, equity and inclusion, teamwork and other core values that prepare our next generation of firefighters to not only be great first responders, but exceptional people.
